The Haitian government in 1954 had a hospital built on about three acres of land. The Haitian government years later deeded the hospital and the land that the hospital is on to an American missionary couple for them to use as an orphanage. About three or so years ago, the son of the missionary couple - because he could no longer because of health oversee the daily operation of the orphanage, deeded the property to a Haitian who had been raised by his parents in the U.S. and who he had befriended years earlier.

The orphanage now houses 13 boys along with the director and his family. The orphans' ages range from 13 to 17.

The March 2017 Haiti team is standing on the bottom steps that lead up into the orphanage.
