The school that is located on the Petionville orphanage’s property goes from kindergarten to 12th grade. There are 10 classrooms. Daily classes begin with a song and prayer.
The March 2017 Haiti team separated itself into three teams – one team to teach English in a classroom, another team to teach songs and another team to teach a Bible story. The teams would spend a half an hour in a classroom. Each team was able to go to three different classrooms on two separate days.
The photo is of the team teaching English to a class of kindergarteners. If one of the kindergarten children was able to say in English a toy block’s color, he or she was to try to toss a tennis ball into a large red plastic food covering.
This is a photo of the team teaching a Bible story. Four classrooms are being used in this building. The classrooms are separated by head high walls.
