On Thursday we did one of our "Ask the Lord" experiences. In our group, two of the people had a vision of a blue backpack and one person heard the word "beach". So we headed towards the beach and listened to the child in our group as he pointed to each street he thought we should go down. We turned the corner and the youngest in our group said "There's someone with a blue backpack!", but the person had turned another corner at the end of the street before we got there. We stopped to pray for a family as we gave them a bag of rice, and we thought that the blue backpack person had walked out of sight...

But sure enough, as we turned another corner, we saw the man with the bright blue backpack sitting on a step. We called out to him as he looked like he was going to start walking away again, and he stopped. We explained our vision through our interpreter and gave him the bag of rice and then prayed for him. It taught us so much about listening to the Lord and acting on it right away and without question. We are excited to take the Ask the Lord experience home and apply it in our families, church, and community.
