On the March 2017 Haiti team’s day off, the team went to The Overlook. The Overlook overlooks Port-au-Prince as well as coastline and neighboring communities. The team ate lunch in The Overlook’s restaurant. The team made souvenir purchases in nearby shops. At one point during the time that the team was there, The Overlook became completely enveloped in clouds.
Before going up to The Overlook, the team checked out Port-au-Prince’s downtown. One of the things the team did while they were in Port-au-Prince was to stop in a Christian bookstore to purchase Bibles for the 13 orphan boys – as they only had a few well used Bibles between them, for the son of the orphanage’s director and for the three sisters who were always on the orphanage’s property as their dad has a small sewing shop on the property.
The photo is of one of the team members with the three girls with their new Bibles.
