Home Away From Home in Haiti
Have you ever thought about spending a week with Adventures in Haiti? If you have, have you wondered where you would stay in Haiti?
After Haiti experienced a devastating earthquake in 2010, Adventures began sending short term ministry teams to Haiti. John is a Haitian who joined the team of translators that Adventures used for the teams that they sent to Haiti.
After the earthquake, John purchased a plot of land in Merger where he built a house. Teams often stay at John’s house where they sleep on the house’s roof. The roof offers incredible views of the night skies, of the boat activity in the nearby gulf waters and of the very ragged topography that defines Haiti. Teams eat typical and delicious breakfasts and dinners at John’s house.
John’s house is a secure place to stay. It is a blessing to spend time with John. John is a visionary who has a heart for his community.
