It’s just so hard to pick one thing to write about because this whole trip has honestly been life changing.
I have felt God’s presence more than ever here in Haiti. Whether it was just walking down the streets and being welcomed into homes to visit and pray with others. Or getting to spend time loving the children here. I could see Jesus everywhere here, through His amazing creations. I could see Him in all the beauty here, and in the smiles of His people. My heart will never be the same.
The last night that we attended church with the Haitians, was one of my most favorite moments. It was a big night for me because it was the night God pushed me out of my comfort zone and i was able to share my testimony with the church. I have never felt more comfortable publicly speaking because I really felt God’s presence in that church that night. I had been praying for God to make me strong and courageous. And He answered my prayer. I knew he was right there with me the whole time. After the service was over, the band was still playing and as we were all getting up to leave, we began dancing with the Haitians. It really felt like we were all gathered there in laughter, having a party with Jesus. My heart has never been filled with more joy than this.
It is going to be extremely hard for me to leave here. I feel like a part of my heart will stay here in Haiti.
